| Obituary: |
Steve Paul, was born November 30, 1926, in Boggy Creek, Manitoba and passed away on July 26, 2010 at the age of 83 . He was the first son of George and Mary Paul.
Steve was the eldest child out of a family of thirteen children. He married Dora Duchesne from Bellsite, MB, on September, 11, 1950. They had a son Everett and three daughters, Ella, Alma and Eileen. Steve worked hard as a farm labourer all his life, and was a good provider. Steve loved to tell stories, so he enjoyed company especially ones who would listen. He was not too much for fanciness or show, he was just an ordinary man. He loved his family and spent many hours visiting or talking on the phone with them. He loved his grandchildren as they loved to listen to Grandpa’s stories, and have many fond memories of their Grandpa. When they lived close, he made many trips to see them and loved taking them to the store to buy them treats or give them money. The sons in law, Verne, Arthur and Chris were his avid listeners as well his grandchildren. Dad loved horse racing, fairs and loved to talk, and the recent story is that he loved food. He had a love for horses and had two special friends that allowed him to indulge this love, Lyle and Bobby Schwalm. Verna and Sam (Kenny) were also always there for Steve. If someone was sick, Steve was always concerned and he would try to go and see them or help in any way. So when Steve was sick, that kindness was repaid, as many people were there for him in Russell and Brandon. Thank-you to all the aunts, uncles, cousins, grandchildren and extended families for showing their support. Steve is now in heaven with his Mom and Dad, his sisters, Evelyn and Velma, and his brothers, George and Clifford, his own son and his son in law Arthur, and his grandsons that went before him. His sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, too many to name.
Left behind is his wife of almost 60 years Dora Paul, of Russell, MB and his children: Everett Paul (Pat) of Millett, AB; children Romona Mader (Scott), children Brandon, Alisha and Danielle of Strasburg, SK; Deanna Fekkes (Paul), children Travis, Brianna, Cole and Matthew of Langdon, AB.; Carla Paul and daughter Alexis of Millett, AB.; Steven Paul (Rose), of Sundre, AB. Carman Paul, of Millett, AB. Ella Nelson (Verne), Nipawin, Sk. Alma Belhumeur and son Everett Exhumer (Laura), Russell, MB. Eileen Radford (Chris), Russell, MB, children Michael Radford and son Bailey, Calgary, AB and Natasha Radford (Derek), Calgary AB.
Steve leaves to cherish fond memories his brothers and sisters: Dave Paul (Joyce), of Birch River, Helen Gauvin (Paul), of San Clara, Bertha Allary (Alex), of Theodore, SK, Theresa Lizon, of Yorkton, SK, Linda Paul (Lenese), of Roblin, Florence Westfield, of Roblin, Rosie Paul, of Dauphin, Elsie Langan, of Roblin, Alice Paul, Phillip Langan, and one Sister in law, Virginia Cork, of Birch River.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Staff of the Russell and Brandon Hospitals for their excellent care of Steve, and the compassion shown to the family in their time of need.

Our deepest sympathy at the passing of your father. I will always remember the times I spent with Uncle Steve and Aunty Helen during school vacations at their home in Renwer and the many fishing trips we had with them. Watching Zane and Uncle Steve with those fresh dills- chopping them with a axe no less. Many fond memories we will all cherish as you will cherish your own. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time but time will heal and so will the meories.
