It is with great sadness the family of Mary Bretecher of Dauphin, Manitoba, announce her passing on the morning of April 20th, 2024 at the age of 101 years. Mary is survived by her children Edward (Stella) Bretecher, Lynn (J.C.) Douville, Liza McKenzie, Louise Ward, Emily Chabluk, Michael (Deanna) Bretecher, daughter-in-law Adeline and sister-in-law Valerie Stark.
Grandchildren: Rhonda (Kevin) Honke, Dwight (Tammy) McKenzie, Neil (Jackie McKenzie), Brad (Ksenia) Bretecher, Dee McKenzie, Renee (Derek) Foreman, Donne Bretecher, Crystal Ward, Ashley Bretecher, Josette (Dan) Northcott, Jason McKenzie, Chantalle Bretecher, Stephanie (Liam)Thomson, Kelsey (Drew) Chabluk, Alyssa Bretecher, Dakota (Katherine) Bretecher, and Katelyn Chabluk.
Great Grandchildren: Owen McKenzie, Justus Bretecher, Clare McKenzie, Rosalyn McKenzie, Kayla Bretecher, Mila Honke, Felix Foreman, Kinley Honke, and Martin Northcott.
Mary was predeceased by her parents George & Emma Stark, husband Charles, son Joseph, brothers Joseph (Vicky) Stark, Jack (Jean) Stark, Richard Stark, sisters Lavina, Sister Augustina, Florence, Norah (Bus) Wilkinson, and Kay (Lyalle) Marshall.
The family of Mary Bretecher would like to take this time to thank all individuals for their kindness and support, in particular the staff of St. Paul’s Nursing Home, who became like an extended family to Mom, as she spent her final years with you.
A public viewing will be offered on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:15 am from the St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church.
Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 10:30 am from the St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church.
A Funeral Mass was held for Mary on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at 11:00 am from the St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church in Dauphin with Fr. Michael Nault officiating.
Interment followed in the Notre Dame de Toutes-Aides Catholic Cemetery.
Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Mary may be made to the charity of ones choice or the Toutes-Aides Catholic Cemetery Fund.
